James Chiboucas serves on the Advisory Board of Valley Industrial Partners and brings over four decades of legal and real estate industry experience.

Mr. Chiboucas currently serves as Vice Chairman and Chief Legal Officer of KBS, where he oversees all legal affairs related to the firm’s national real estate investment operations. In his role, Mr. Chiboucas manages internal and external legal counsel, leads the negotiation and documentation of investments across the United States, and plays a key role in the formation and regulatory oversight of KBS-sponsored funds. He is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, contributing to strategic planning and overall operations.

Mr. Chiboucas has been with KBS Realty Advisors since its inception in 1992, following prior leadership roles at Koll Real Estate Group and The Koll Company beginning in 1988. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Paone, Callahan, McHolm & Winton and served as Vice President of Signal Landmark, where he was responsible for national real estate legal matters.

Mr. Chiboucas graduated summa cum laude and Phi Kappa Phi from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Business and later earned his J.D. from USC.
