Motorola M1225LS
The Radius M1225LS mobile radio is a reliable and simple-to-operate
UHF LTRŪ trunked radio. Why UHF trunking? With the limited spectrum in 800 and 900 MHz
available today, UHF trunking is quickly becoming the new trend. The M1225LS offers
features that are easily customized to meet your changing needs.
What's more, the Radius M1225LS mobile radio
utilizes Motorola's exclusive X-PandTM technology. With X-Pand, the audio quality of 12.5
kHz radios can actually outperform what you could expect from 25 kHz radios. X-Pand
technology actually compresses your voice at transmission. At the receiving end, it
expands it while simultaneously reducing extraneous noise.

Technology
- 8-Character Alphanumeric LCD with
Aliasing -
this backlit
display provides clear identification of each assigned channel and option status and is
standard on the M1225·LS.
- Repeater/Talkaround -
You may utilize a repeater to increase
range for your radio's signal or to provide telephone interconnect. Talkaround frequencies
do just that - they circumvent the repeater to talk directly to another radio.
- Dual Priority User Programmable
Channel Scan -
The M1225·LS
has a dedicated scan button. This feature allows you to create a customized list of
channels you wish to "scan."
- Dual Color Display -
The LCD allows you a choice of amber or
green backlight to facilitate day or night-time viewing. This is programmable through the
Radio Service Software or the option button can allow
you to toggle between colors.
- Reliable Durability -
The M1225·LS passes MIL-STD
810 C,D & E with flying colors. This means utility vehicle construction, potholes,
even a 75g impact will not dislodge this radio or disable it. Additionally, the M1225·LS
has passed Motorola's own Accelerated Life Testing, which simulates years of rugged usage
in the field.
- Scan Features:
- System Scan - scans dealer assigned talkgroups
within trunked modes and dealer assigned conventional channels
- All Group Scan - scans all talkgroups within the selected
trunked mode
- Auto Group Scan - automatically scans dealer assigned
talkgroups within the selected trunked mode
